Workshop Details

Date: Tuesday 4th June Time: 10am-3pm Cost: £145 Venue: Stonegate, Egmere Road, Walsingham. As always with Reef Make & Do, refreshments as well as delicious homemade cake and two course lunch are included in your workshop day. I am super excited to invite you to join me at Reef Make & Do along with Anne Hickley when when we will be marbling both papers and a scarf. Come and join us for a fun and imaginative day. At this wonderful workshop you will learn how to 'paint' on water using traditional marbling techniques that are centuries old, and some more modern ones too. This art form is about playing and experimenting and, as such, is open to anyone - even those of you who think you are not creative. During the day you will learn: *how to make thickened water on which you will float the paints *how to prepare the papers and paints for marbling *using various tools, such as combs, rakes and styluses, to create patterns *the do's and don'ts of marbling to create patterns you are happy with *how to create a variety of striking patterns and designs During this workshop you will create a collection of your own beautiful and unique marbled papers, each in your own tray. You will also get to marble one 95cm x 95cm square scarf. If there is time you may get the opportunity to marble additional scarves at an additional cost. All the tools and materials will be provided by Anne on the day so no need to bring anything other than your imagination and an apron. It would also be a good idea if you don't wear anything new or best as things can get verrrrry messy! This workshop is limited to 6 places only so be quick if you want to join us!
