Workshop Details

Date: Tuesday 11th June Times: 10am-4pm Cost: £130 Venue: Stonegate, Egmere Road, Walsingham. As always at Reef Make & Do, refreshments as well as delicious homemade cakes and a two course lunch are always included in your workshop to ensure you can fully unwind and enjoy your day. I am hugely excited to offer this brand new workshop with a brand new artist: Practical Bookbinding with Helen Perry of Helen Handmade Books. We hope you will join us. In this workshop you will learn to make a Secret Belgian binding, a hard covered book stitched with an enclosed spine which combines the best of Western and Japanese techniques. This beautiful and versatile book lies flat when open and in use, which can be used as a journal, a sketchbook or even a photo album. There will be a range of decorative papers and threads to choose from for the covers and off white Fabriano paper for the signatures. This workshop is suitable for everyone whether you are a beginner or are looking to learn a new technique. All equipment and materials will be provided along with step-by-step demonstration and practice. There needs to be a minimum of 5 guests for this workshop to run.
