Service Description
Multi Media Pop Art Get ready for a bold, colourful and brilliantly creative day exploring the world of Pop Art, inspired by artists including Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein. We will start with printmaking, looking at how Warhol transformed ordinary everyday objects into iconic works of art. Children will choose their own image, perhaps a banana, old camera, ice lolly or something completely different, then design and carve their own lino block before experimenting with repeating their print in different bold colour combinations. Next we will turn our attention to Pop Art portraits. Using newsprint, collage, paint, pattern and graphic shapes, everyone will create a mixed media background before adding their own colourful self portrait. We will play with unexpected colours, strong black lines, dots, patterns and contrasting areas to create a portrait packed with personality. Finally, taking inspiration from the comic book style associated with Roy Lichtenstein, we will explore graphic text art. Using felt tips and black markers, children will experiment with oversized lettering, speech bubbles, explosive shapes, dots and punchy colour combinations to create their own Pop Art cards and posters. A lively day of printing, painting, collage, drawing and graphic design, with lots of room for children to make their artwork completely their own. Suitable for ages 8 to 12. No experience needed and all materials are provided. Please bring a well stocked packed lunch, named water bottle and some small snacks, and wear clothes suitable for a wonderfully messy day of making.

Cancellation Policy
Children’s Activities Booking and Cancellation Policy All Reef Make & Do children’s activities must be booked in advance. We cannot accept drop in bookings on the day, as sessions, materials and staffing are planned in advance. Mini Makers Children attending Mini Makers must be accompanied throughout the session by one responsible adult. Mini Makers activities are designed for toddlers and preschool children. Siblings are welcome, but each child taking part must have their own booked place. You are welcome to bring babies in arms. Junior Art Camps, Holiday Art Camps and Studio Nights Sessions need sufficient numbers to run. If a session does not reach the required number, Reef Make & Do may cancel or reschedule it. If we cancel, you may choose a full refund or a transfer to another suitable session, subject to availability. If You Need to Cancel If you need to cancel, please let me know as soon as possible. If you cancel at least two weeks before the session, I will refund your booking in full. If you cancel less than two weeks before the session, I will do my best to fill the place. If I can, I will refund your booking. If I cannot, I am sorry that I will not be able to offer a refund, as I will already have committed costs for the session. In exceptional circumstances, such as serious illness or a bereavement, I may be able to offer a refund or transfer at my discretion. Transfers are subject to availability. Non attendance without notice is not normally refundable or transferable. If Reef Make & Do Needs to Cancel If Reef Make & Do cancels a session or is unable to provide it, you may choose a full refund or a transfer to another suitable session, subject to availability.
