WILLOW LAMPSHADES

Join Karen Bek in North Norfolk for this brand new willow weaving workshop and learn how to create a beautiful, functional lampshade for your home using traditional basketry techniques and Norfolk grown willow.

In this workshop, Karen will guide you through the process of weaving a willow lampshade, teaching you a selection of classic basketry weaves that can be adapted to suit your own style. You will work with a range of willow colours, choosing combinations that reflect your taste and the space where your lampshade will be used.

Each lampshade will be constructed around a standard utility ring, making it suitable for use as either a ceiling shade or a table lamp shade. Karen will demonstrate each stage clearly, supporting you throughout the day and helping you build confidence as your piece takes shape.
