Michaelmas Term: 12 Week Painting Curriculum with the fabulous Mary Blue

Through colour, observation and experimentation, students discover that still life isn't about fruit bowls—it's about relationships, rhythm, light and paint itself.

Learn to paint the ordinary in extraordinary ways. Painting develops through repetition and sustained practice. Working together over a full term allows confidence, skill and individual style to emerge naturally. Students leave not only with stronger paintings, but with a deeper understanding of their own creative process.

Over the term we will look at and be inspired by Wayne Thiebaud, Chaïm Soutine, Henri Matisse, Katherine Jones, Mitchell Johnson, Holly Coulis, and Tim Patrick and others.
