Workshop Details
Join maker and upcycling specialist Rosie Newport in North Norfolk for a joyful and creative workshop focused on reuse, imagination, and letting go of perfection. Using salvaged dinghy sails, you will create a one of a kind tote bag that celebrates resourcefulness and individuality.
Rosie is passionate about working with materials that are difficult to dispose of but exist in plentiful supply. Old boat sails, weathered and full of character, become the starting point for a bag that is practical, playful, and completely unique. The emphasis throughout the day is on creative freedom rather than technical sewing skill.
You will be guided step by step through cutting out and constructing your tote bag, using simple straight line sewing that anyone can manage. Sewing machines are provided, and Rosie will be on hand throughout to offer support, encouragement, and help whenever it is needed. No previous sewing experience is required.
