What will I learn on this beginners pottery course

Across six relaxed sessions you will learn hand building wheel throwing trimming and glazing. We keep groups small so you get plenty of guidance and time on the wheel.

Do I need any experience or equipment

No experience needed. All clay glazes tools and firings are included. Wear comfy clothes and bring an apron if you have one.

Can I take home what I make

Yes. Your pieces are fired and glazed as part of the course so you will take home finished work to use and enjoy.

This intaglio printmaking workshop offers a wonderfully accessible way to explore expressive mark making and discover a new creative process with fabulous Norfolk artist Sally Hirst .

Join us for a relaxed, hands on day where you will learn how to create richly textured prints using simple materials and straightforward techniques.

During this workshop you will discover the pleasure of working with Tetra Pak carton packages, water based intaglio inks, and a Craft Die Cut machine to print your plates. By using everyday supplies you will be able to carry on exploring intaglio printmaking at home with confidence.

Tetra Pak printing is a brilliant introduction to both intaglio and collagraph processes and is suitable for complete beginners as well as those with printmaking experience who would like to try a fresh approach. Through gentle experimentation you will cut, score and emboss your plates to create a range of striking prints.…
