Join bio-textile artist Caroline Hyde-Brown in North Norfolk for a full day Plant to Paper workshop exploring eco friendly papermaking using foraged plants and natural fibres.
This immersive and gently inspiring workshop introduces you to the art of creating handmade paper using shredded cotton rag and waste plant material gathered from the natural landscape. Guided by Caroline’s thoughtful and sustainable practice, you will learn how everyday plants, grasses, and weeds can be transformed into beautiful papery surfaces.
During the day, Caroline will share her knowledge of foraging and material selection, explaining which plants work best for papermaking and how they are prepared. You will explore traditional papermaking techniques alongside her own contemporary approach, gaining confidence in handling pulp, forming sheets, and experimenting with texture and thickness.
