The day will begin with a short discussion on the work of Chaim Soutine and how artists throughout history have elevated everyday objects into something extraordinary. You will then move into charcoal studies, experimenting with composition before creating a loose sketch on canvas. After a break for lunch, the afternoon session will focus on building layers of acrylic paint to develop form, tone, and movement in your finished piece.
