MIXED MEDIA: A STUDY OF SEA & SHORE with artist Ros Copping

This mixed media art workshop in Norfolk invites you to explore the shoreline through mark making and gentle experimentation under the guidance of artist Ros Copping.

Often, we walk along the shoreline looking at the sea marvelling at it’s power or stillness and the memories we have of other times with our parents, lovers, friends or small children and families. Sometimes it provides the stage for our connection to others and sometimes our connection to being a small part of nature ourselves.

This expressive workshop based in mark making, sets out to explore marks that can be made by acrylic transfer, water-based inks, acrylic paint and graphite. After experimenting with these mediums as samples we will then build compositions in a concluding piece. Exploring deeper emotional use of line, shape, texture, composition and colour and communicating our feelings about the sea.
