What will I learn on this beginners pottery course

Across six relaxed sessions you will learn hand building wheel throwing trimming and glazing. We keep groups small so you get plenty of guidance and time on the wheel.

Do I need any experience or equipment

No experience needed. All clay glazes tools and firings are included. Wear comfy clothes and bring an apron if you have one.

Can I take home what I make

Yes. Your pieces are fired and glazed as part of the course so you will take home finished work to use and enjoy.

Across the session you will make a generous double wicked glass sweetie jar candle alongside a range of decorated wax melts that can be personalised with dried botanicals.

The lovely Carole and Julie will guide you through each stage of the making

with clear and friendly instruction, helping you to feel confident with wax selection, wick sizing and fragrance choices. You will also learn about the essential safety and regulatory considerations involved in making candles at home so that you leave feeling capable and well informed.
