In this special one day workshop, Charlotte will guide you step by step through the process of transforming high grade German crepe paper into striking parrot tulips, full of movement, colour and character. Using artist oil paints, you will learn how to add depth, markings and painterly detail before waxing your flowers so they can be enjoyed for years to come.

Charlotte’s work is rooted in a wonderful artistic tradition. She began making paper flowers after meeting a former student of the Constance Spry artificial flower studio in London. Constance Spry and her team famously created exquisite artificial flowers and foliage during the 1950s and 1960s, particularly when real flowers were unavailable or out of season.
