CHRISTMAS WILLOW: Snowflakes & Stars with Karen Bek

Join willow artist Karen Bek in North Norfolk for a gentle and joyful winter themed workshop creating delicate snowflakes from plant fibres and sculptural willow stars. This workshop celebrates natural materials, simple techniques, and the quiet pleasure of making something decorative by hand.

During the day, you will work with a selection of plant fibres and Norfolk grown willow, learning how these materials are gathered, prepared, and shaped. Karen will guide you through weaving and forming techniques that allow you to create lightweight snowflake forms, followed by stronger, more structured willow stars.

The focus throughout the workshop is on rhythm, repetition, and exploration rather than precision. You will be shown clear, accessible methods, with plenty of opportunity to adapt shapes, scale, and detail to suit your own ideas.
