Workshop Details
Join textile artist Marian May in North Norfolk for a full day botanical printing workshop exploring eco printing and natural dye techniques using real leaves and flowers.
Discover the joy of botanical printing at this richly immersive creative workshop, where you will learn how to create beautiful printed textiles by transferring colour, texture, and shape directly from plants onto fabric and paper.
During the workshop, Marian will introduce you to the principles of botanical and eco printing, explaining how to prepare fabrics correctly to achieve lasting prints when working with plant based and natural dyes. You will explore how different leaves and flowers behave during printing, including their ability to print, resist, or discharge colour, and how subtle changes in process can produce dramatically different results.
You will print onto a range of surfaces, including a silk scarf, a piece of watercolour paper, and either an organic cotton tea towel…
