Workshop Details

Artist Nick Wellband is back with another Silver Clay workshop - this time making holly and mistletoe! Book Now. Date: Friday 21st November Time: 10am - 2:30pm Cost: £130 Venue: Stonegate Farm, 12 Egmere Road, Walsingham. NR22 6BS I am really excited to offer another new Silver Clay Jewellery workshop with Nick Wellband. In this Christmas special workshop we will be making small holly and/ or mistletoe pendants - you can choose! Nick was so fascinated by the alchemy of silver clay that she now teaches this in these magical workshops using her favourite items from nature: leaves, acorns, seed heads and, in this particular workshop, holly and mistletoe turning them in to stunning pieces of wearable jewellery. You will each be given a 7mg packet of silver clay for your chosen creations. You will be provided with materials to create one necklace with a pendant or a pair of earrings with two smaller pendants. If you wish to make something a bit bigger* / more than one then additional clay will be available to purchase on the day. Similarly, there will be an additional cost for materials if you wish to make more than one necklace/ pair of earrings. Nick will also bring her collection of beautiful beads so that you can add 'berries' to your holly and mistletoe if you wish including small freshwater pearls and garnet beads. The additional cost of these materials is why this workshop is slightly more expensive than the others. Nick's workshops are open to everyone with no with previous experience required. Nicky will guide you though every step of the process of creating jewellery in silver clay as it is worked from basic paste or clay, moulding, refining, firing, cleaning and polishing to create a finished piece of 999 fine silver. Come and join us for this fabulous day. * Please note that bigger* may not always be possible. Sometimes, due to the delicacy of an item, bigger means the clay is too heavy and can crack. We have experienced this in workshops and so this will be at Nick's discretion so as to avoid disappointment.
