Come and join Karen Bek and me for a festive and fun filled day learning the basics of the ancient art form of willow weaving. Karen is a highly skilled artisan and will use her knowledge to guide us through the making of traditional Christmas decorations.
Firstly you will learn how to create your own twine from plant fibres and after this you will weave and add a selection of small willow stars to create a beautiful and eco-friendly Christmas decoration. There is also the option to make a reindeer head. This was very popular last year and such fun!
Once this is complete there will be time after lunch to make a selection of decorations to add to presents or hang on your tree.
You will learn a number of willow techniques during the workshop.
All materials for this course will be provided but do feel free to bring your own secateurs if you wish.
