Join us for a BRAND NEW two-day reduction Lino Printing workshop with the talented Sue Welfare. NR25 7TH We are thrilled to welcome back the wonderful Sue Welfare for another of her incredible lino printing workshops. Renowned for her stunning lino prints, Sue's work can be seen throughout Norfolk and beyond. This workshop caters for everyone—from complete beginners to those with some linocut experience. The atmosphere will be informal and relaxed, ensuring plenty of guidance and support throughout the two days. Over this immersive two days, you will explore the colourful world of reduction printing. This method involves skillfully carving away sections of your block for each layer of color, and Sue will guide you through mastering this technique. You’ll also learn essential mark-making skills to create a range of effects like light, shade, line, and texture—all while refining your unique print ideas. In addition to the fundamental skills, participants will enjoy opportunities to experiment with new techniques, enhancing your prints further and making them stand out. All necessary materials and tools will be provided, but please wear old clothes or bring an apron, as printing can get a bit messy! If you have inspirational images or ideas you'd like to work on, we'd love for you to bring them along. For those needing a little spark, starting points will be available to ignite your creativity.
