Crafternoons
for HERITAGE HOUSE

Creative craft afternoons in North Norfolk are at the heart of Crafternoons, a relaxed community craft and chat club held every other Tuesday at Warham Reading Rooms. Designed for adults who enjoy making, conversation, and connection, these afternoons offer a simple and welcoming way to spend time with others in a warm local setting.

Crafternoons is about more than crafting. It is an easy going afternoon where the kettle is on, conversation flows naturally, and everyone is welcome just as they are. You do not need to be arty, confident, or particularly chatty. Simply bring something small to work on if you wish knitting, hand sewing, sketching, mending, or any quiet craft or come along just for the company.

Every session also supports the wonderful Heritage House, with all proceeds, after hall costs, donated to Heritage House, making your afternoon out meaningful in more ways than one.

Please note - the cost to attend Crafternoons is £10: the ticket is NOT FREE. I will send you a payment link when you have booked so we don't lose money to booking fees and HH get the maximum amount. You can bring cash if you would rather but please email me to say so.

The next Crafternoon is on Tuesday 27th January at

Warham Reading Rooms and is now open for booking below.

Our
Story

Heritage House is a wonderful day care centre in Wells-next-the-Sea that services an area of 250 square miles!   It was founded by a group of enthusiastic volunteers in 1984 and it has helped the elderly and isolated ever since. It has evolved into a high quality resource that is light, airy, and operated by a professional team of qualified carers, dedicated staff, and an army of invaluable volunteers.

It is open Monday - Friday and many of the residents are collected in the HH mini buses by volunteers.  We are here to provide a welcoming and safe environment for you or your loved ones. There’s always a full diary of events to enjoy or take part in, a hearty home cooked meal, afternoon tea and cake and the assurance of being well cared for and most importantly, our visitors enjoy the companionship of others.

We have a wonderful memory garden that was planted by volunteers and is an integral part of Heritage House.  Our guests love to sit outside with their family and friends when the weather allows.

We are always on the lookout for volunteers and offer for talks or activities so do get in touch if you might be able to help.
