Workshop Details

Date: Thursday 8th February Time: 11-3pm Cost: £115 Venue: WIVETON VILLAGE HALL As always at Reef House Make & Do, refreshments and homemade cakes and lunch are always included in your workshop day. There is nothing quite like the jingle jangle of an armful of bangles and here is your chance to make your own! During this silver stacking bangles workshop, you will be able to make your own set of 3 bangles. ‍ We will practice using copper to make one bangle and then will dive in and make your 3 bangles from sterling silver. We will make one smooth bangle and then you can practise with texture to make another 2 bangles with different hammers to sit beside your smooth one. We will be soldering your bangles closed and then working on filing and sanding them to get the perfect finish before giving them a good polish. This workshop is for total beginners to silversmithing and soldering and your finished bangles would make the most perfect gift for someone special or just as a treat for yourself! We will be using 2mm sterling silver wire, which is a delicate wire but perfect for beginners as soldering can be a tricky experience!
