  • 150 British pounds

Workshop Details

Date: Wednesday 31st July Times: 9:30am - 4.00pm Venue: Stonegate Farm Cost: £150 Writer Sally Ballard and Royal Academy-exhibited contemporary artist Mary Blue will be running a wonderful workshop in which you will produce art-and-word filled fold-out postcards. These will be based on the spectacular walled garden at historic Stonegate Farm. Mary will lead sessions painting the abundant flowers and trees in the garden and Sally will guide writing sessions in which we will learn to write tight about the nature we observe and translate into words all that is beautiful to us in the garden. You will get to do both sessions learning from both Mary’s free and exuberant artistic style and Sally’s years as a writer and her knowledge of writing about nature and of the social history of the postcard. No writing or painting experience necessary. All equipment supplied. A fabulous sharing lunch in the beautiful Stonegate Farm walled garden, as well as cake and endless refreshments will ensure that you have the perfect day.
