Workshop Details

Date: Thursday 16th February Time: 10am-3pm Cost: £95 As always at Reef House, refreshments as well as delicious homemade cake and lunch are included in the day. Come and join me in my kitchen as we get back to basics with some classic pie recipes. We will be focusing on really simple, tasty food that won't break the bank. I will also talk about how you can batch cook if cooking for one or two people so you don't have to cook from scratch every day. We will begin with my recipe for a good old fashioned cottage pie and we will also make a veggie alternative too. Both will be packed full of flavour as well as loaded with veggie and topped with sliced crispy potatoes. Using leftovers, we will then make a chicken and ham pie with a mustard shortcrust pastry top which is a firm favourite in our house and there are never any leftovers of this! Finally, we will make a fabulous fish pie with a smooth and creamy mashed potato top. This recipe is unbelievably quick and simple to make but tastes divine. In fact, it is so good it would make a great dish if you have guests round for dinner -they would think it took you hours! You will get to take home 8 individual pies - 2 of each of the 4 options. Please bring an apron if you have one but I do have some here if not. Please also bring a big box, basket or Tupperware of some sort to transport your makes home in.
