Workshop Details

Date: Wednesday 6th November Timings: 10am - 3pm Cost: £110 Venue: Stonegate Farm The artist Candide Turnerbridger lives only a few yards from my new house and I cannot tell you how utterly delighted I was when she knocked on my door and offered to run some fabulous workshops! In this first workshop with Candide we will be learning how create our own inks. Using a recipe of soot and tree resin Candide will tell us how to source the natural materials and then cook them up to create a beautiful natural black ink which can be used for all sorts of lovely arty projects. Whilst the inks are cooking, Candide will show us how to create bamboo pens as well as goose feather quills. Finally, when all out beautiful natural makings are finished we will venture out for some plain air sketching in some textured paper sketch booklets made by Candide. As always with Reef Make & Do, refreshments as well as delicious homemade cake and two course lunch are always included in your workshop day. All materials will be provided. This workshop is open to all.
