Workshop Details

Date: Thursday 29th February Times: 10am-3pm Cost: £115 Venue: BLAKENEY VILLAGE HALL As always at Reef House, refreshments as well as delicious homemade cake and lunch are included in the workshop day. I am very excited to invite you to join me along with glass artist Claire Hart for this full day workshop where we will be making beautiful stained glass sun catchers. This workshop is the perfect introduction to the techniques involved in making a traditional leaded stained glass window. Students will be able to design their wind spinner - sun catcher, drawing inspiration from a wide selection of coloured and textured glass. They will learn how to cut the individual glass pieces and then how to lead and finally solder them together. Through the whole process you will be in the capable hands of both Claire and her assistant Tracey who will guide you through this slow, mindful art form. Please note: this class is not suitable for anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding as you will be handling lead.
