Workshop Details

Date: Thursday 11th September Time: 10am-2pm Cost: £120 Venue: Stonegate, Egmere Road. Walsingham Come and join Louise and me at Reef Make & Do for a slow, meditative morning creating beautiful ‘flower ghosts.’ Louise will guide us through the Japanese art of Hape Zome using a range of real flowers and leaves to create our own stunning designs. This is a hugely popular workshop. You will learn a little bit about how fabrics are mordanted so that the plant dyes 'fix' to the them and then we will be hammering away, creating patterns and designs using fresh flowers and leaves. At the end of the morning, you will get to take away all your creations. All materials will be provided with the option to purchase additional inexpensive items on the day if you wish to. Also, feel free to bring a garment to print that is in need of a makeover! It should be made of natural plant-based material such as cotton, wool or silk and should be pre-washed and ideally quite pale in colour.
