Join us for another wonderful book binding workshop with Helen Perry when we will be making these stunning leather long stitch books. Date: Thursday 5th June Times: 10am-4:30pm Cost: £155 Venue: Stonegate Farm, 12 Egmere Road, Walsingham. NR22 6BS Leather Long stitch Journal During this one day class you will learn how to make your own A5 soft leather long stitch sketchbook, lined with a beautiful Japanese paper. These gorgeous books will be filled with a heavy weight Fabriano paper and finished with a leather tie closure. This is a lovely and very practical binding, it has an intricately stitched spine and lays flat when in use making it a very practical book. You will have the opportunity to design your own stitching patterns to make your book more individual but don't worry there will be examples to help you. There will be a selection of coloured leathers, coloured threads and leather ties to choose from. The paper used for the sections makes these ideal as both sketchbooks or journals and perfect for using if you come to the Sketchbook Diaries Class with Chrissie Nicholls which is intentionally scheduled for the very next day - Friday 6th June. . All equipment and materials will be provided along with step-by-step demonstration and practice. Suitable for beginners. As well as all the wonderful making your day will include a scrumptious homemade two course lunch as well as endless cake and refreshments, all of which will be catered to the needs of the the attendees so that everyone eats the same food.
