Join me for this three day colourful, creative day learning about the magic of pattern making with indigo dye. Date: Wednesday 17th - Friday 19th September Time: 10am - 3pm Cost: £300 Venue: Stonegate Farm, 12 Egmere Road, Walsingham. NR22 6BS * Please note that this booking slot if for the full 3 day course booking at the reduced rate of £300. Join me for 3 wonderfully colourful, creative days learning about the magic of pattern making with indigo dye. Booking for all three days will allow you to fully immerse yourself in this slow and mindful creative process and really get to grips with the more basic techniques and then develop and combine them to create more complicated patterns. These days are open to beginners as well as anyone with more experience. The main focus of the indigo days is to explore the Japanese art of Shibori and learn how to create a wide variety of beautiful patterns and designs on our natural fabrics. Over the the three days we will practice -basic stitching to create resist patterns -more intricate patterns for those who are happy to concentrate primarily on stitching -folding and clamping -binding -cylinders -combinations of techniques above You will be provided with a small amount of natural materials to practice pattern making on that you get to take home. However, you should also bring some of your own materials too and a detailed materials list with preparation instructions and suggested stockists will be sent to you once you have booked. If you wish then you can bring a single clothing to upcycle - there will not be time fort any more!. This garment should be made of a natural material such as cotton, silk or bamboo and ideally be quite pale in colour. It should also be scoured and washed before arrival as per the instructions in the materials list. PLEASE come dressed in workwear type clothes and closed toe shoes. We will be outside for most of the day so do bring something warm to wear incase the weather changes. The day will also include regular refreshments, cake and a delicious two course lunch to ensure that you have nothing to think about other than immersing yourself in this wonderful day.
